Wei Choong find the main adversary Hong Kong Open semis
HONG KONG - national badminton champion Lee Chong Wei easily reached the semifinals after beating Hong Kong Open Indian player, Ajay Jayaram, in the quarter-finalstoday.
As predicted, Chong Wei, the world number one rival aside easily within 31 minutes with the decision 21-16, 21-13 in the tournament's U.S. $ 250,000 (RM791, 301).
However, Chong Wei is expected to face tough competition when they meet with their traditional enemies, Lin Dan of China in the semi-finals tomorrow.
Lin Dan, Olympic gold medalist in Beijing 2008, also went to the semifinals when it successfully beat Shon Wan Ho of South Korea, 21-15, 21-18 in 40 minutes.
